编者按：
对展览会的题材进行划分并在业内达成共识是进行展览业行业统计的重要基础。
在北美地区，一些权威研究机构或协会对展览会题材的划分也在根据行业变化情况不断进行调整。通过比较下面两张图我们可以发现，十年前CEIR将展览会的题材划分为11类，最新的划分结果是14大类。主要变化在于对原来的EN和GV做了进一步细分，单列出了可自由支配的消费品与服务（CS–Discretionary Consumer Goods and Services）、教育（EN-Education）和金融、法律与房地产（FN-Financial, Legal and Real Estate）。以上调整从一定程度上反映了产业和展览市场结构的变化。
